i'm 5 months old today!

look at how much fun he is having just playing on the floor...who needs toys?

week 2 of eli's life...so peaceful when slumbering

week 14...ahhh...frog...just when eli began to move onto his side to sleep and caress his frog


week 21 to today...he's a belly sleeper. eli what is up? your butt sure is! He loves to sleep in this position nowadays. it truly is adorable to walk in and see him on his little belly with that little butt in the air.

It is amazing how much they change in such a short amount of time. I was just parusing through all the weeks of photos (and trust me that is a lot of photos) noticing how much he has changed and not just in size. his face, hair, mannerisms, and abilities to do many things has all advanced into more like a little boy. they truly do grow up so quickly. we are fast approaching the mid-year point and neither andy nor i can believe it. it just seems like yesterday he was being brought home from the hospital and we were adjusting to having a new person in our lives. amazing. don't let life pass you by...stop enjoy every moment and every second you have with family, friends, and just experience everything! 

i like sitting up like a big boy

eli loves to sit in his bumbo b/c it allows him
to get a different perspective on all of his toys.
this kid can't wait to be able to sit up on his
own and play.
i'll tell you these ingenious things that
people have come up with are amazing and very
helpful to mommies. we can actually get things done
while the little ones experience things on their own.

our family photographer...uncle chris...was snapping photos all weekend. we can't wait to see the great shots that he got! 

boy time

yeah daddy has returned and my uncle chris was still in town.
eli had a blast hanging out with the boys and really bonding with
his uncle. he can't wait for him to return in october for some more
fun. who knows...eli may be crawling by that time?
