happy holidays!

the bush boys decided to pay homage to santa claus the other day.  eli wore his suit to preschool (lots of envy from his fellow classmates) and ethan wore his to go back and visit the nurses in OSU NICU and grandpa at work.  both boys brought lots of smiles and holiday cheer to many people...no one could pass them without smiling.  thanks merryann for buying these suits for eli over the years!  they have become a favorite thing every year anymore.

monkey see monkey do

ethan is already picking up on things his brother does and mimicking him.  i was on the computer and looked over to see him working on his car.

getting in the holiday spirit

First a visit with Santa:
eli was less than enthralled with actually sitting on santa's lap.  he had me tell santa what he wanted for christmas: "a train, legos, and a mailbox".  meanwhile ethan had a blast hanging out with santa!

Then a visit to watch the trains...eli could have stayed here all day in the freezing cold.

And finally a visit to the huge christmas tree...ethan's favorite party b/c he got to touch it without being told no!

happy first birthday ethan!

he has come so far in a year!  the year went by so quickly!  obviously he loved his cake...eli screamed and cried when we put his in front of him...oh...how they are so different.  amazing!

ethan's stats:
17lbs. 13oz.
developmentally ethan scored very high with the physical therapist at children's hospital.  they were amazed at how well he did considering he was born at 29 weeks.  great job ethan...i think it is all the things eli shows him how to do.  it helps having a big brother who is adventurous and diligent on teaching him a lesson or two (he definitely roughs him up sometimes...watch out eli...he is going to get you when he gets bigger).
