ouchies

as you all have probably noticed, we have not posted anything in the past several days. we had a very rough weekend with things getting crazier as the weekend progressed. we started with eli suffering from an ear infection...which for all of you have not experienced a child with an ear infection...lucky you! he has been in misery and not too happy to take his antibiotics either! so that was just the beginning.

friday night samee decided that she too wanted to be on drugs. she got in a scuffle with another dog and lets just say she didn't win this one. the other dog latched on to the back of her neck and it required our little samee to get 4 staples put in her neck. she had ~1 inch gash in her neck that went all the way to the muscle...ouch. but she was a trooper and with no whining, flinching she received 4 staples to patch up her wounds. then she was put on antibiotics and painkillers. the painkillers are working so well that samee thinks she is a young pup again and is jumping all around, chasing squirrels and getting really fired up on her walks.

then saturday happened...eli's antibiotics weren't seeming to work b/c eli was screaming his head off while grasping at his ear desperately. an immediate phone call was needed to the pediatrician on call for help. they changed his antibiotics and things began to seem like there was an end in sight. at least there was a full night's sleep. eli, however, has decided that these antibiotics are disgusting and there is no fooling him into taking them. brat!

after a visit to the doctor today, it appears that his ear infection is close to being if not already gone. yeah! however, he is still experiencing some pressure discomfort so the suffering is not over just yet. pray that he will get some relief soon.

so b/c of all this craziness...we were unable to keep up with your daily fixes of eli photos and happenings. we apologize and will try to make it up to you all. i will post a few adorable photos right now. thanks for your understanding and sympathy to our household full of drug users (hee hee), at least for a few more days.
