swim lessons

so last night was our first swim lessons with the smiths.





eli tested out the water in the wading pool and was
pretty happy while we got our instructions on where
to go. then andy helped eli into deeper water. eli was
very cautious and curious about what was about to happen.
and then...




melt down!!! eli was like this pretty much throughout
the entire class. we pulled him out a few times to
calm him down and try to get him excited about going
back in.



he was coaxed into the water by daddy...but didn't leap
into his arms like the instructor encouraged all the kids to
do. but he did go back in.



only to come out crying once again. i think eli needed more
naptime today not to mention he has a little cold.



we will try again next week and mommy will
even get in to help out.


then there was norah....



she loved it and did wonderful.
