well, this pregnancy didn't go as planned. our newest little arrival (name still to be determined) decided it was his time to shine and no one and no drug was going to stop him of completing that mission. our little one arrrived early this morning, december 06, @ 2am. i have been in the hospital trying to keep this one in since tuesday evening but as soon as they took me off the magnesium...and it got out of my system...he decided to take another attempt. he succeeded!!
he came out with no complications and belted out to the room with some long lasting screaming. he was wisked off to NICU and taken care of by the pediatric staff. he has not needed any assistance with breathing nor has he needed any oxygen. he is breathing room air on his own.
His stats:
3lbs 1.5 ozs
15 1/4" long
has alittle bit of hair on that little noggin
as far as we know, he will have to stay here in NICU for 2 months unless he progresses enough to come home sooner. we are thankful that he is healthy and strong. he definitely isn't a weak little one at all....i can attest to that with the pain he put me through fighting to make sure he got out.
we will keep you all posted as to his progress and continued success. thank you to everyone who has sent their prayers, thoughts and support to all of us during this endeavor.
